DJ’s Cake
Batter Ingredients:
Devil food cake mix
1 can apple pie filling
3 eggs
Topping Ingredients:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup nuts
6 oz chocolate chips
Mix batter ingredients and pour in 9x13" baking pan.
Mix topping ingredients and spread evenly over the top of the batter before baking.
Bake 30 min at 350◦.

Red Velvet Cake Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
2 Tbsp cocoa
2 ½ cups cake flour
1 ¼ tsp baking soda
1 cup butter milk
1 ½ (1 oz) bottle red food coloring
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk beginning and ending with flour.
Pour batter into two lightly greased 8 or 9 inch layer pans.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
Cool and frost with butter cream frosting.
Frosting Ingredients:
1 cup milk
5 Tbsp flour
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Cook flour and milk over low heat stirring constantly until it thickens.
Set aside until cooled.
Beat butter and sugar till creamy then add flour mixture and beat another minute or so. Lumps will smooth out as frosting thickens.

Carrot Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups flour, sifted
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup oil (may decrease to ¾ cup)
2 cups carrots, grated
1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple
1 cup nuts, chopped
Sift dry ingredients together.
Beat eggs well then add oil.
Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
Add carrots, pineapple, and nuts. Bake at 350 in a greased (9x13”) pan.
Frosting Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese
½ cup butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
Beat cream cheese until fluffy.
Add butter or margarine.
Cream the mixture.
Add vanilla.
Stir in sugar and beat well ‘till smooth and of spreading consistency.

Fresh Apple Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
½ cup butter
6 medium apples
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
Heat oven to 325.
Peel and dice apples and set aside.
Cream butter with sugar and add beaten eggs. Add diced apples.
Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. (I find it easiest to mix it with my hand at this point since the mixture is quite thick.)
Place in greased 9x13” pan and bake for 30-45 minutes until top has a light crust.
